# Introduction

Prenso turns an area on a map into delivery routes your team can walk, with accurate leaflet counts, printable route sheets, and coverage you can track.

Prenso is a planning tool for anyone who puts something physical in front of a
neighbourhood — leaflets through letterboxes, signboards on fences, hoardings on
a corner site. You draw an area, Prenso works out every address inside it and
orders them into a walkable route, and your team gets a sheet they can follow
without a briefing.

## Why teams use it

Most delivery planning starts with a printed street map and someone's memory of
which side of the road they did last time. That approach loses two things:
accuracy and repeatability. You over-order leaflets because nobody knows the
real address count, and you can't tell next month which streets were actually
covered.

Prenso replaces both with real address data:

- **Accurate counts** — Every route reports the exact number of addresses it covers, so you order the right number of leaflets.

- **Walkable routes** — Addresses are ordered street by street and side by side, not as the crow flies.

- **Printable sheets** — A route sheet with a map, a tick-off street list, and space to sign off.

- **Tracked coverage** — Each assignment records who took it, when they accepted, and when they finished.

## How the pieces fit together

Prenso has four concepts. Everything else is a detail of one of them.

| Concept | What it is |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Organisation** | Billing, plan limits, and the people who can sign in. Owns one or more workspaces. |
| **Workspace** | One operating area — a branch, an electorate, a franchise. Holds its own maps, sites, team, and campaigns. |
| **Map** | A delivery area with an ordered route through it and an address count. |
| **Campaign** | One thing you are distributing. Assigns maps to people and tracks completion. |

A national organisation might run one workspace per region, each with its own
volunteers and its own maps, while billing and administration stay in one place.
A single-office business runs one workspace and never thinks about the
distinction again.
